Dr. Paul D. Trapeni Jr.

He received his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Trapeni completed a residency in Memphis, Tennessee at the Mid-Town Eye Clinic with an emphasis on corneal disease. He practiced in Union City, Tennessee for four years then established his Smyrna location in 1989.

Dr. Trapeni is an expert in the care and management of corneal-compromised patients. He specializes in the care for keratoconus, post-radial keratotomy (RK) and post-Lasik complications, dry eye, and contact lens patients who are a difficult fit.

Dr. Trapeni is Tennessee State Board Certified and also State Board Therapeutic Certified. Dr. Paul Trapeni is specialized in diagnosing the disease of glaucoma along with care and treatment.

Dr. Trapeni is a member of the Tennessee Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association (AOA). He and his wife, Vickie, have three children. Dr. Trapeni enjoys fly-fishing, gardening, and spending time with his wife and children on and off the field of sports.
